Hutch was appointed to the commission in 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Southern Illinois University, a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Towson University, an MBA from Baker College, and is a doctoral candidate in education at Northcentral University. He and Erin have two boys who attend kindergarten at St. Joseph’s. They have been in the parish for one year, having moved here from Annapolis, MD following Hutch’s retirement from the Navy, and both are active volunteers throughout the school. Hutch is also a “Living Your Strengths” facilitator for the parish. In addition to his military service, which included seven years as a teacher and schoolhouse administrator, Hutch has taught psychology for Embry-Riddle University. He is currently “Captain Dad”, formerly known as “Mr. Mom” – the best job in the world.

Kim was appointed to the school commission in 2010. She is a graduate of Central Washington University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and minor in Psychology she has worked for Alaska Airlines for 20 years. She and her husband Bill have 4 boys, 2 of whom are St. Joseph graduates. Kim is a lifelong parishioner of St. Josephs, with her parents having been married in the church more than 40 years ago. Her “St. Joe’s claim to fame” is that she has attended every Sausage Fest. Kim loves to volunteer and be actively involved in the school, and other activities her children are involved in. She hopes to encourage more parental involvement in our school and church community.

Melinda Lee is a native of the northwest, participating and supporting her community by volunteering and sitting on non-profit boards for over 20 years. She is a CPA by trade and works at a regional company in the area as their Chief Financial Officer. Her children have been students at St. Joseph Catholic School for seven years and she is passionate about the school, its staff and its mission. She lives in Camas, Washington with her husband and two daughters.

Meghan Phelps, Chair -

Meghan was appointed to the school commission in 2010. She has a
masters in education from the University of Portland and is an
Oregon State graduate. Before having children, she was a teacher for
6 years. Meghan and her husband, John, have been parishioners since
2006. She currently stays at home with their four children, two of
whom currently attend St. Joe. Meghan is co-chairing the 2011
auction. She enjoys painting, running, and spending time with her
family.
Josh

Josh has a
Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington. He was
born and raised in the Northwest, and in Vancouver since the age of
4. Josh is currently a commercial banker with Riverview Community
Bank, working closely with customers to help them analyze their
financial positions while providing advice and guidance. Before
working in banking, Josh held a field position at the Boy Scouts of
America in Seattle and focused on recruitment and fund raising. Josh
and his wife are parishioners of St. Joseph and have a son at the
school.

Jill grew up in Charlotte, Vermont and graduated from Champlain College with her degree in PR & Communications. She moved to Vancouver with her husband, Steven, in 1998 and has been married for 17 years. They have two daughters who both attend St. Joe's. She has been a parishioner since 1999 and was appointed to the School Commission in 2012 after serving two years as the PTO Chair and two years as Vice-Chair. She is currently employed part-time at Construction Defect Consulting in Portland as an office assistant. Jill loves to volunteer and is actively involved in the annual sock hop as well as coaching volleyball. She hopes to encourage more parents to get involved.
